The unstoppable rhythm of change
Transcendental Evening!
Hi Drummers!
Well, our drumming connections have come and gone...but hopefully not our spiritual connections! Friday night my home turned into a place of spiritual connection with my friends in the room, friends around the country, and folks all around the world that I don't even know. The evening was wonderful...we started by placing small items of importance to us on an altar, lighting a candle, and writing some intention for healing, either to a friend in need, a group or country in need, or just to mother earth's needs in general, on a small piece of paper and placed them in a bowl to be burned after the drumming so the energy could be released to do its work. Then I read some quotes from Carlisle's website to introduce the intention of the evening. Then we drummed harmoniously (well, mostly!) for the hour, did some chants, then people told about their personal drums. Then we did what all good evenings end with...eating!! I look forward to participating again next year.
