Hey there, sorry I haven't been in contact, having trouble getting on the net. I'm on a friends PC right now. So while I'm here, whats new? Is there anything up comming at Once upon a time? Hope all is well with you and yours and look forward to hearing from you soon.
It definitly was worth the trip and I will be there again for any future events. The drive home was good, no moose or deer. Well, gotta get laundry done and some house cleaning, talk soon and have a great day!
Shelly, it was very nice meeting you tonight and I wanted to say thank you again for lending your blanket to my girls, they appreciated it very much. I hope you enjoy your evening and look forward to hearing from you soon.
I'll look for you when I get there, hope I don't have to work Saturday, ugh! Doing a steel roof on the municipal building and we need to get atleast halfway . Have a great day and see you soon.
Progress takes many forms, it is unfortunate that it sometimes takes the wrong one. I don't know if you know anything about the Maya or their prophecies or the Mayan calendar, but if you want to learn about the changes that are coming and the hope for a new world and what we can expect to happen, get a copy of the book The Mayan Prophecies for 2012. It is an awesome read and very enlightening.
I agree with you totally, the forest is being destroyed everyday. People complain about animals coming into their yards, but what can you expect when it is us encrouching on THEIR homes! Where are they to go??? We can live differently, and the time is coming when things are going to be drastically different. We are not going to have alot of the things we have today and we will be returning to a much simpler and better way of life. It is a change that is much needed, to get back to nature and her rythum, the cycle of the seasons and away from technology and consumerism.
There used to be alot of bears here when I was a kid. It was nothing to see a bear or 2 a night. Used to be alot of animals then, rabbits, partridge, deer etc etc. They are making a come back now, but it is slow. The forest around here has been cut back quite a bit in the last few years, makes it hard on the animals to find food and shelter.
Thank you, Shelly, I hope you have a great day too! I had a little surprise visitor when I got home tonight. A black bear decided to grace me with his/her presence. It was eating blueberries not more than 50 feet from my house, what a beautiful sight!
Hi Shelly, yes the Greenman does have special meaning for me. He is, by what I have read and what I feel, the embodiment of Nature. It is thought that he is of Celtic origin, but could very well be much older. You can find him almost everywhere, on old buildings, churches..I even saw him on a set of very old wooden chairs at the home of a man I had done some work for. I have many images of the Greenman around my home, the one on my profile pic is exactly the same as one I have hanging in my bedroom. I have another in my living room, only smaller, another like it out in my ritual area and another as a welcome sign outside my front door.
I made and/or painted all of them myself, I used to do ceramics, until my kiln went down. I still have a couple of the small wall plaques around.
Take care, my friend, I hope to see you at the Equinox in Sept.
Hi Shelly,
thank you for the friendship and I guess theres a little bit of your Uncle, still here across the pond, I think its the people like that who come here that leave some of their positive energies and mixed with our own, then thats what Irelands all about.
You and yours will have to check it out for yourselves someday, and when you do i will be your chief guide, thanks again for the friendship, sending you and yours many Smiles and Rainbows from Ireland
By helping local people to grow some more of their own food and helping people to get closer to nature through gardening in an eco-friendly way.
I will also drum like I have never drummed and offer my positive energy to whomever I am around.
